TFN London
TFN hosts five flagship events annually, where people come to meet and hear from a select group of non-profit organisations driving social change. Each non-profit makes a short, five-minute pitch, seeking to raise up to £10,000 for their social change project. In the run up to an event, TFN members nominate non-profits which meet the eligibility criteria and take part in selection panels to help choose who will pitch at the event. Events are open to members and non-members alike.
A TFN event typically begins with informal networking where guests and non-profits can get to know each other over light refreshments. Once everyone is sitting comfortably, presenters from each non-profit make their pitch about the social change project they are seeking funding for and take questions from the audience. Pitches and Q&As are strictly timed, giving everyone the same opportunity to make their case.
After the pitches comes a fun live crowdfunding session, where people have the opportunity to give money or offer pro-bono support to the non-profits that move them. Live crowdfunding makes giving easy: anyone can put their hand up!
There is no obligation to give, but be warned, it can make giving infectious.
