A Warm Night of Collective Giving - Over £30,600 Raised
We were so happy to beat the winter chill and come together for a warm night of collective giving, hosted by our good friends at Goodman Derrick last week.
To open the event, we released our updated Annual Impact Report, and were pleased to announce that we have we have helped raise £12million for 1,900 small non-profits around the world!
To start off the presentations, Zofia from Bitou Community Foundation Trust gave a dynamic pitch showcasing their work supporting young people affected by the loss of a family member and providing training for palliative care in South Africa, raising over £6,900 to help continue their work.
Rachel from Caxton Youth Organisation gave a personal pitch on their work empowering young people with disabilities to lead independent, meaningful, happy and healthy lives. Caxton raised over £6,800 to open a new afterschool club to not only support young people but also allow mothers to re-enter the workforce.
We heard an inspiring pitch from Debra from Children of the Mountain about their work enabling growth and learning for children in rural Nepal, raising over £8,200 to provide laptops to remote schools.
Lastly, George from the Maytree Respite Centre gave an emotional pitch on their work providing a distinct and innovative approach to suicide prevention by providing five day stays in a safe, supportive space, raising over £8,600 towards opening a new space in Manchester.
In total, over £30,600 was raised for these four inspiring charities driving social change - check out the photos from the night.
A warm thank you to our host Goodman Derrick, and to all who gave generously to support truly life-changing work.
