TFN in South America & Spain
Covid-19 has stopped a lot of things in their tracks but not TFN International!
Just this week we were thrilled to host the first of three Zoom learning sessions for colleagues from civil society organisations in Peru, Colombia, Spain and Brazil (see photo). They are interested in introducing TFN’s live crowd funding model into their countries as part of their wider work to promote the establishment of Community Foundations. We’re really excited to play a part in this important work through which local resources will be unlocked to bring about much needed social change.
In addition to the work we’re doing in South America and Spain, there are active groups using TFN’s model in 17 countries with first events planned for Georgia and Germany when lock down has lifted. Roots and Wings Foundation in Hungary is planning a live virtual event for 11th June – another exciting “first”.
We are immensely grateful to our funders, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust for their support of this work through which we are able to scale our work exponentially. If you’d like to know more about our international work, please don’t hesitate to contact Eugenie.
