About This Event

1st December 2020 - 6:00pm

Thank you to all who joined us for our Festive Funder! We had a magical evening together, with pitches from three fantastic charities and some seasonal entertainment. Collectively, we raised over £38,000. Thank you to Omnibus Theatre, Farmers Overseas Action Group and Parallel Histories for their fantastic pitches. Thank you to Macquarie Group for supporting this event and to all who came and gave so generously.

How It Works

At our live crowdfunding events, non-profits that are nominated and selected by members pitch for £10,000 each. Our events are open to anyone to attend and donations range from £10 to £10,000. Not been to a live crowdfunding event before? Read this to find out more.

The Projects

At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.

Omnibus Theatre

Omnibus Theatre supports its local communities by using the transformative powers of art to give a voice to those that feel voiceless. Working with marginalised adults and young people, they tackle issues such as food insecurity, social isolation and community segregation.

FOAG

FOAG works with Children's Centres and schools for disadvantaged children in Uganda, funding life changing opportunities and working with farmers to improve food security. Their work focuses on supporting children and communities, and developing sustainable agricultural practices with the aim of creating systemic social change.

Parallel Histories

Parallel Histories is a UK educational charity which aims to improve the life chances of disadvantaged young people through innovations in the teaching of history. They connect schools through online and in-person history debating programmes, provide training and resources for teachers, and ultimately aim to change attitudes and build tolerance amongst young people.
