About This Event

23rd January 2017 - 6:00pm

2016 was a rollercoaster. And for many of us there were more stomach-churning moments than enjoyable thrills. We often feel helpless at how little we can do, but we shouldn't underestimate the power of the people. Together we are more than the sum of our parts and can have a big impact. So kick off 2017 with us and our wonderful friends at Goodman Derrick to discover how you can make a difference to the lives of children in Kenya and El Salvador, care leavers and asylum seekers. Start the year how you mean to go on: supporting the change you want to see in the world.

TFN Members are also invited to join our AGM taking place 5.30-6.00pm - immediately before the event.

How It Works

At our live crowdfunding events, non-profits that are nominated and selected by members pitch for £10,000 each. Our events are open to anyone to attend and donations range from £10 to £10,000. Not been to a live crowdfunding event before? Read this to find out more.

The Projects

At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.

ETC empowers girls and wants to double the capacity of the first girls secondary school in the Masai Mara, Kenya by building another dormitory.

Music in Detention improves understanding, wellbeing and empathy for immigration detainees and the local community through participatory music.

WCI improves the quality of care in orphanages and childcare centres across El Salvador through training, technical support and collaboration.

Settle prevents vulnerable young people from becoming homeless by equipping them with skills and confidence to move into their first home and live independently.
