About This Event

StA

8th June 2017 - 6:00pm

Following a successful launch in September 2016, TFN Herts (formerly TFN St Albans) is returning on Thursday 8th June at the spectacular Rothamsted Conference Centre. Who knew that when we set our date several months back, Theresa May would get wind and want to join in on the action?! Well, we're not letting a General Election deter us, in fact we think TFN Herts is the perfect remedy: they've campaigned, you've voted, the count hasn't started, the waiting game has begun. So, come and distract yourself by hearing about four brilliant projects working across Hertfordshire who are giving opportunities to the local community.

Join us to pledge your support to more than one cause on 8th June. Canapes and refreshments available from 6pm for a 6.45pm start, Tickets are available below.

How It Works

At our live crowdfunding events, non-profits that are nominated and selected by members pitch for £10,000 each. Our events are open to anyone to attend and donations range from £10 to £10,000. Not been to a live crowdfunding event before? Read this to find out more.

The Projects

At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.

CHIPS offers play and social opportunities for children with special needs and their siblings by using a  tailored young volunteer model which also develop peer friendships.

Resolve provides support, treatment and rehabilitation for people suffering from substance or alcohol misuse to enable them to move into a positive and manageable lifestyle.

The Gifted offers a specialist early intervention project that tackles the root causes of social problems for vulnerable and disadvantaged girls and young women.

ActOne ArtsBase challenges negative perceptions and provides disabled people with the opportunity to live a full, integrated and active life through dance and movement.
