About This Event

20th April 2023 - 6:00pm

Black Funding Network's April Funder was held on Thursday 20th April at Reed Smith

How It Works

At our live crowdfunding events, non-profits that are nominated and selected by members pitch for £10,000 each. Our events are open to anyone to attend and donations range from £10 to £10,000. Not been to a live crowdfunding event before? Read this to find out more.

The Projects

At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.

100 Black Men is a charity delivering programmes and activities for young people focused on mentoring, education, economic empowerment, health and wellness since 2001. Some 10,000 young people have been supported through a wide range of engaging activities, from book clubs to sports days.

ADHD Babes is a community of Black women and non-binary people of African-Caribbean descent with ADHD which, since launching during the pandemic, offer a safe space for those with ADHD to flourish and fulfil their potential. They offer programmes, resources and a community of support to meet the unique challenges that the combination of race, gender and neurodiversity bring.

Oxygen Arts is a digital creative agency that specialises in working with diverse communities. As a social enterprise, they reinvest their profits into digital and performing arts training for young people from the global majority in the UK and abroad. They seek support for their Black British Ballet project which will document and celebrate the history and experiences of Black dancers in British ballet during the last century.
