About This Event

City for LGBT+ is back!

Join us for the sixth edition of City for LGBT+, our annual event in partnership with GiveOut and Macquarie, supporting LGBTQI organisations around the world.

This year's theme is "Resisting the Rollback of Rights".

How It Works

At our live crowdfunding events, non-profits that are nominated and selected by members pitch for £10,000 each. Our events are open to anyone to attend and donations range from £10 to £10,000. Not been to a live crowdfunding event before? Read this to find out more.

The Projects

At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.

ASEAN SOGIE Caucus

ASC is a network of LGBTQI human rights organisations and activists working across Southeast Asia, ensuring the involvement of LGBTQI voices in regional and global human rights advocacy initiatives, including the ASEAN Summit and United Nations frameworks. They work to strengthen local advocacy, build the capacity of LGBTQI organisations in their network, and provide accompanying support to grassroots groups.

Consortium

Consortium is the UK’s umbrella body for LGBTQI groups and organisations, with over 500 members. Consortium provides capacity support and grants, with a mission to build a stronger LGBTQI sector and increase the overall opportunities for LGBTQI people and communities.

The Other Foundation

The Other Foundation is an African trust that advances equality and freedom in southern Africa with a particular focus on SOGIE. Their primary purpose is to expand resources available for defending and advancing the rights of LGBTQI people in 13 southern African countries by working both as a grant-maker and a fundraiser.

Become a Member

The Funding Network is made up of individuals and businesses who want to support social change. Members of TFN can increase their understanding of the social change sector, deepen their engagement with the causes they give to, share their passion for social change, help organisations they already support and increase the impact of their donations.
