Anja Batista Sönksen appointed Chair of The Funding Network

Date

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Anja Batista Sönksen as Chair of The Funding Network’s Board of Trustees.

Anja has been a member of TFN since 2022 and joined our Board of Trustees in October 2024. She has been a generous and active member, sponsoring a number of wonderful charities through TFN, including The School and Family Works, The Vavengers and The Colyton Foundation.

Anja is deeply committed to TFN’s mission of connecting people who can offer money, skills and time with outstanding small and grassroots charities. She is passionate about TFN’s distinctive ability not only to raise vital funds, but also to create lasting relationships, inspire the joy of giving and help democratise philanthropy.

Anja said:
“It is a privilege to serve as Chair and to work with the team and trustees to help The Funding Network reach its next stage of growth and impact. I am enormously excited by the opportunity to bring more people into the room, connect them with causes they care about and champion TFN’s mission and values wherever I can.”

We are delighted to welcome Anja to the role and look forward to working with her as TFN enters its next chapter.
