At the end of January, our friends at Roots and Wings Foundation in Budapest held a live crowdfunding event in support of free elections, funding four charities which work to ensure transparent, fair elections in Hungary.

This is a big year for TFN with the 20th anniversary of the very first TFN event held on 16 March 2002 at the Royal Institute of British Architects.

What a way to end the year - £65,000 raised at our Festive Funder last Wednesday for three truly inspiring charities. We were delighted to support Artis Foundation, CRIBS International and My Life Films.

We’re excited to hear about a new venture from TFN Member and former Trustee, Stephanie Brobbey. The Good Ancestor Movement supports individuals and families with responsible wealth stewardship and “radical redistribution”.  

TFN is delighted to be partnering with two community foundations in the North East of England to bring you the first Northern Funder, taking place virtually on 27th January 2022.

This week, we were pleased to get an update from Foundervine about their development since we last supported them in November last year. Foundervine first took part in a TFN event in March 2019 where they raised funding to pilot their work in West Africa.

News of large scale human rights violations in Afghanistan since the Taliban returned to power in August are deeply concerning. Last week we took part in a meeting about the perilous situation in Afghanistan for people who are LGBTQI+.
