What's it like to help select charities for a TFN event?

Our Corporate Members get involved with us in all sorts of ways – from hosting events, to bringing staff along, to nominating charities to apply, to providing matched funding, to volunteering skills, to taking part in the charity selection process…the list goes on!

Company Membership with us means that all staff get the full benefits of being a TFN Member, and our Corporate Members really make the most of the opportunity. Recently, several members of the team at Octopus have taken part in the charity selection process for our events – a crucial role, as our Members’ views are essential in selecting the charities that pitch. Ahead of each event, four or five Members come together to assess the applications, hear each other's views, speak directly to the applicants and ultimately decide which organisations will go forward to pitch – it's always a difficult choice.
