Lots of guests for TFN International
As those of you who attended our 4 July event will know, it was a pleasure earlier this month to host a study visit by a group of international guests from Turkey, Albania, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. Each of them represented a leading civil society organization and they came to London to experience TFN first hand and discuss how the model might be introduced into their countries with our support (with the exception of Turkey where we have been working for several years).
As a result of the visit, which also included a day of training and a delightful evening reception at Fred’s house, the first event in Brazil has been scheduled for 23 November in Florianopolis (capital of Santa Catarina in Southern Brazil), organized by the Florianopolis Community Foundation; in the Albanian capital of Tirana in December (date TBC) organized by Partners Albania; and in Colonia, in south west Uruguay (opposite Buenos Aires) on 6 November organised by the Colonia Community Foundation.
Other first events we eagerly anticipate over the coming months include in Ivrea, in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy on 27 September and in Ramallah, Palestine on 3 October.
Do let us know if your travel plans coincide with any of these events or if you would like to know anything more about them, including details of the projects pitching at them. We would be delighted to hear from you! In the meantime, we wish all our international partners new and old the best of luck with the busy events season that lies ahead between now and Christmas.
