Ethical Christmas gift round up

The festive season is approaching fast but, don't worry, we've got a round up of Christmas gifts from our network of charities to help you with any last minute gifts. Just because you've left it till now doesn't mean your gifts can't be ethical!

Why not start with giving someone the gift of generoisty this Christmas? By gifting someone TFN membership, the recipient will have the chance to support a carefully curated portfolio of charities and social enterprises at our events across the year, not to mention the opportunity to nominate charities to pitch and to take part in the selection process. Visit our website or contact Julia to find out more.

If you know someone living with dementia, give them the gift of My Life TV created by My Life Films. My Life TV is the first streaming service with content specifically curated for the cognitive needs of people living with dementia.

Want to help create climate-resilient landscapes and restore freshwater habitats by supporting beavers to thrive in the UK? Get some beaver-themed merch from wonderful nature restoration charity, The Beaver Trust

If you prefer to give experiences rather than more traditional gifts, there’s plenty to choose from at Clapham Omnibus. From panto to spoken word poetry, treat your loved ones to a trip to South London’s finest independent theatre.

Looking forward to a creative Christmas? Oblique Arts offers bespoke workshops for children, adults and families. They also have a range of exhibitions and community art installations for the culture vultures in your life.

Inclusive dance community Flamingo Chicks is offering a range of gifts - from baubles to a bungee jump - when you donate to their Festive Fundraiser. And the great news is, everything is matched so your donation will be doubled.

Grab a gift voucher from Migrateful and give the gift of a cookery class taught by a refugee chef. You’ll be supporting migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in their journey to integration and as well as learning some delicious recipes.

Set up by TFN grantees The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network, Anqa Collective offers a range of beautiful gifts created by refugees. You can find everything from homeware to honey and every purchase will support refugee makers and business owners.

If you or someone you know is based in the north-east of England, check out the fantastic range of handmade garden furniture from Cornerstone. Cornerstone makes everything from birdboxes to benches and supports people out of homelessness at the same time.

Finally, for all your edible gifts, Luminary Bakery, Zaytoun and Forty Hall Vineyard have a great range of options.

Please also consider making a one-off or regular donation to one of our alumni charities. If you’d like to contact any of them directly, you can get in touch with Jennie, our Impact Manager.

Happy Christmas from the TFN team!
