Crowdbacker 2021: shortlisted social startups announced
Our partner, Year Here has just announced the four ventures that will be pitching at the upcoming Crowdbacker. Having spent a year volunteering and learning from the real, lived experiences of everyday Londoners, their newest cohort of graduates are ready to launch their social startups.
On Wednesday, the 3rd of February each venture will have five minutes to make their case to The Funding Network and Year Here’s combined network of philanthropists and social entrepreneurs, with the aim of raising up to £5,000 in seed capital.
From an urban delivery service providing a first step into employment for people experiencing homelessness to a youth-led ideas consultancy, the ventures share a commitment to positive social change over profit. Read more about the shortlisted projects here.
We are delighted that our partnership with Year Here continues. Since 2014 we have come together to produce 11 live crowdfunding events, bringing together our networks of philanthropists and change-makers to raise the capital to launch innovative social ventures. The last Crowdbacker in July 2020 raised £28,000 and we are hoping to beat that in February!
