TFN Trustee Board: Changes Afoot
We're excited to announce two additions to TFN's Board of Trustees, as a well as a change of Treasurer. Current Trustee, Michael Chuter, has replaced Simon Wheatley as Treasurer, and we're very pleased to welcome Adrian Coles and Sam Lush to the board. We spoke to them both about joining us as Trustees.
Adrian Coles: "I joined TFN around five years ago, on the advice of my son, who was a volunteer with Young Funding Network. At my first event I was impressed by the friendly, welcoming atmosphere and, of course, by the tremendous, life-changing projects that were taking place all over the world, in some cases only a few miles away from where I live, about which I knew little. I gradually became more involved, occasionally serving on the selection panel that sifts out the projects in advance of the events, and then chairing the presentations at a couple of events. I was honoured to be invited to serve on the board and look forward to becoming even more involved with TFN in the future. Once the brilliant TFN concept is embedded into your consciousness it's difficult to escape!"
Sam Lush: "After being involved with TFN for the past five years, I'm delighted to have been asked to become a Trustee. TFN remains cutting edge in its approach to fundraising for incredible social change projects. I'm very excited to be able to help shape the strategic objectives of TFN and promote TFN's events and ethos far and wide. The last fifteen years have been extremely successful with over £10million raised for a variety of great causes. Without TFN, many smaller charitable projects would be overlooked. I'm excited that over the next four years we can continue to build on the past achievements and to push for positive social impact across the UK, and further afield with our growing international presence."
Thanks to Adrian and Sam for joining us! You'll see them around at our events so do say hello to them at an upcoming one.
