News from TFN International
TFN International Director, Eugenie Harvey, tells us what TFN International has been up to this week:
"Congratulations to the wonderful team at the Ferencváros Community Foundation in Budapest who raised 2.5million Forints (around 8,000 Euros) for three terrific community projects at their second event on Tuesday. A star was born – the Foundation’s Director, Erika Barna was a shining pledging facilitator charming the audience with her warmth and wit.
200 kilometres north and in the city of Banská Bystrica (Slovakia) the second European event of the week organised by Beata Hirt and her team at the local community foundation raised 6,000 Euros, again for three excellent local projects. The pledging was led by Michal Duris, a well-known Slovak actor, and my favourite challenge of the night was from a woman who pledged 50 Euros if Michal confirmed that there would be a second series of his hit TV show. There will be. That’s 50 Euros banked.
Next week TFN International travels to Johannesburg to present at the global summit on community philanthropy. Hope to see some of you there!"
