Come to Budapest with us!
TFN International is pleased to invite you to join us for a Spring study visit to beautiful Budapest.
The study visit, an exciting “first” for TFN, is scheduled for 1st-3rd March, although participants may wish to stay on longer to enjoy this wonderful city.
The aim of the trip is to offer participants the opportunity to experience one of the growing number of TFN international events (and yes, translation from Hungarian will be provided along with English language information about the projects that will be presenting at the event!) and to meet with leaders of Hungarian civil society who will share insights into the increasingly worrying political situation both in their own country and across the region. This article from the New Statesman will give you a good overview of the situation in Hungary.
Tamás Scsaurszki, the Director of the Roots and Wings Foundation, TFN’s national partner in Hungary, will be your co-host along with Fred Mulder, TFN’s founder and Eugenie Harvey, TFN International Director. Tamás is passionate, thoughtful and highly informed and we’re sure we will find his presentation and the contributions from his colleagues highly illuminating.
The short organised programme will also include plenty of delicious Hungarian food and wine, a river cruise on the Danube and the option to sample one of Budapest’s famous thermal baths!
We’ll be staying in one of the many beautiful, centrally located hotels (details to be confirmed) and there are reasonably priced flights to Budapest available from most London airports.
Please join us for what promises to be a fun and thought provoking opportunity and perhaps the beginning of a new kind of travel –Philanthrotourism!
For detailed itinerary, please contact Eugenie Harvey.
